The Economy of Contribution and Societal Innovation

This paper deals with the economy of contribution, which is a new way of thinking about economic activities. The emergence of a contribution economy is not only a shift but also an alternative answer to consumer capitalism. The contribution economy relates to the fields of Internet relational technologies, local systems of innovation, and the tertiary Sector. From a methodological standpoint, the understanding of the contribution economy needs to define what are societal value, societal innovation, and collective creation.
