Determinants of offline crowdfunding: Empirical study from entrepreneurs and investors in Bukavu

This study attempts to identify the determinants of offline Crowdfunding. Data were collected from 231 entrepreneurs and potential investors from Bukavu town in D. R. Congo. Data were processed using both logit and interval regressions. The results reveal that offline crowdfunding is influenced both by socio-economic, institutional and behavioral factors. These results provide insight on how an offline crowdfunding can emerge in order to overcome households and entrepreneurs’ financing constraints. JEL Codes: G21, G23
