This article supplies an empirical analysis of the explanatory factors of the gap from technological creation between China and African countries. The analysis concerns a sample of 8 African countries, more China, and covers the period 1995-2012. By using the data of the LEAD (2014) and Inheritance Foundation (2014), it seems that on average the African countries lag behind regarding creation of innovations with regard to China. The econometric results obtained by means of an analysis in data of panel show that the corruption, the technological infrastructures and human capital explain this delay.JEL Codes: O30, O57, N70
