Thanks to fair-trade organizations, small producers of the Southern countries could learn entrepreneurship skills. And yet, even when they are accustomed to the Northern markets’ demands, fair trade producers can be regarded as individual entrepreneurs, unaffected by the logic of unlimited wealth accumulation. In any case, there are still doubts as to whether small fair trade producers can be considered as a truly new type of producers. JEL Codes: B3, L20, M11
