Russia between the European Area and Asia

Two main trends characterize the evolution of economic international relations: globalization and regionalization. Fifteen years after its transformation, what is the place of Russia in the new international division of labor? Will this country be a member of a pan-European economic area, or a member of Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC)? If Russia joins the Asia-Pacific zone, it would satisfy the neo-Eurasian movement to which the Russian political community is explicitly or implicitly referring. It is also interesting to study the behavior of Russia concerning the enlargement of the European Union to Eastern countries, especially after the Ukrainian crisis, solved with the support of the European Union.
